Acupressure is an ancient Oriental healing art that uses the fingers to stimulate specific points on the surface of the skin. This pressure awakens the body’s immune system and encourages self-healing, by way of the release of endorphins and other neurochemicals.
Acupressure uses the same points and meridians, or energy channels, as acupuncture, but instead of needles, treats with gentle yet firm rubbing movement of pressure with fingers and hands. With acupressure, the patient may remain fully clothed.
Acupressure stimulation along the spinal nerves is the appropriate level of stimulation to achieve the desired results in NAET allergy elimination treatments.
Acupressure can be used in self-care, both preventatively and in the presence of symptoms. We provide self care guidance to the patient in order to maximize the healing effects of the treatments between actual treatment sessions.
